Recreational drug taking is prevalent and on the rise. Learn from the experts on how to recognise common toxidromes, presentations and situations through lectures hypotheticals and simulated cases. Practice the team approach to de escalate, sedate and manage elevated patients in the ED. Manage a mass casualty situation in your ED when party drugs go wrong.
Trauma BITS
Through hands on teaching sessions and scenarios build your confidence in conducting a rapid trauma assessment to identify and treat common traumatic injuries. Develop your clinical skills in managing airway and breathing difficulties as well as haemorrhage control and fracture stabilisation.
EDMACAS
The ED Mass Casualty Active shooter course is back! This disaster preparedness course begins as a typical day in ED but rapidly escalates into an immersive session with lectures, tabletop exercises and an insitu active shooter scenario. Explore the pre hospital response, departmental management strategies and an approach to the active shooter as the disaster unfolds around you.
SitrepED
Brought to you by our pre hospital experts. Learn what happens before the patient arrives at your door and understand how the challenges of the pre hospital environment can shape the patient journey. This one day course explores the patient journey in a series of sitreps covering assessment, communication, stabilisation and transport considerations right up to the moment the patient arrives in your trauma bay.
